ABC News: Hurricane season is officially under way

Hurricane season is officially under way and the time to prepare for it is now. Hurricane expos are going on all over the Tampa Bay area this weekend.

Home Depot is also giving us a look at some of the newest products on the market to add to our hurricane arsenal.

One of the newest products on the market is called “Hurricane Fabric” and it can be used on windows in place of plywood and metal shutters.

Hurricane Fabric attaches to the outside of your home with clips and can resist projectiles. Even if the window breaks, the fabric will protect your home from wind, rain, and debris from coming into the home.

The Home Depot is holding free Hurricane Preparedness Workshops across the country on July 27th.

To find one in Tampa Bay and to register, head to workshops.homedepot.com.
